Find a Way Beyond Osteopenia

Bone loss is not a good thing. You can get away with a certain amount of it and be just fine. Bone density reaches a peak at around the age of 35. From there, as certain hormone levels start to drop, bone density declines as age progresses. The hormones are not the only issue. There are several lifestyle conditions and other contributing factors. In fact, some people can even develop a decrease in bone density before the age of 40.

It is a lack of proper nutrition that is one of the main causes of the condition known as osteopenia, which is when bone density begins to drop a great deal. There is a test for bone density and it is used to diagnose the condition. It is called a DEXA test and works on a smaller number scale. Anything below a -1 to a -2.4 is the condition of low bone density that leads to osteoporosis.

The good news about this is that it is not too late. Unlike osteoporosis, you can still build that bone back. It is important to see a doctor in order to get tested and to get advice on what you can do about it if you do have the condition. This is better than doing nothing at all, which would end up leading to a worsened condition.

There are medications which can help the condition and restore bone density. The only issue is that these medications will not work if the proper nutrients are not in place to rebuild the bone. That means there needs to be a great deal of calcium, magnesium, and other minerals. Even those minerals alone will not be enough. You still need to get enough vitamin D3 and K2 for proper bone density.

Look for a good supplement on the market and see if it can help you out. There is no point in doing nothing and the doctor can’t do it all. It is up to you to make the best out of the situation and recover before it is too late and the osteoporosis hits.

Do what your doctor says to do but take care of the nutrition as well. Eat right and use a good supplement to recover your bone health. Remember that the medications prescribed could be a big help. No matter what, give your body the right building blocks to recover.
